Review before publication
Medical content is checked for claims, sources and safety wording before it is published. Statements about indications, complications, safety or medication require review by a qualified reviewer.
What 'medically reviewed' means
A page shows 'Medically reviewed by' with a name and date only when that person has actually signed off the content. We never add a reviewer name that did not review the page.
Updates
Content is reviewed again when sources, regulations or clinical practice change, and corrections are dated.
